My, what sweet teeth we have…

Doing a casual gig in some joint in some town in this world, I am amazed and alarmed at the amount of flavoured icing sugar people are happy to shovel into their cups. Take for example:
- chai, mocha latte
- caramel mocha
- mocha with extra chocolate (and…do you have sugar syrup of some kind?)
- can you line my cappuccino cup with chocolate syrup?
- can I sprinkle my own chocolate (said customer then proceeded to empty the shaker on top of the most beautiful rosetta I’ve ever poured)
- can you add vanilla syrup to my super strong (read: extra powder) chai?

Sugar, sugar, sugar!

Where does one begin, when tongues have been paved thickly with that sticky, syrupy tar, to convey the beauty of coffee?
